Foot Massage: Getting Together To Relax

Kick off your shoes and prepare to say... "Aaaaaaahhhhhh!" Anne and David are
once again offering this enjoyable partner massage class to help your feet
recover from cold weather blues. Their basic routine can be used to
stimulate blood flow throughout your wintered toes and aching soles, stretch
you out and make you want to shout... that's right, "Aaaaaaahhhhhh!" This is a
partner massage class. Two people need to enroll together as a pair. $20 for
2 people, $18 if one partner is a co-op member or senior.

It's time for a Brazilian party! We welcome new presenter Linda Pollock who
will introduce us to the cuisine of her home country. Linda will prepare a

Black Bean Rice Bowl, Chile Rellano Tofu Bake, Potato Enchiladas - these are
a few of the tasty meatless meals you'll sample and learn to prepare. Not
too cheesy, not too greasy, and lots of vegetables. You'll be able to add
delicious, nutritious and easy Tex-Mex meals to your home menu. Come hungry!

In this series, you'll acquire the basic tools to help you create and live
an excellent life. Come to any or all of the classes offered this spring.
Effective risk-taking is essential to creating a rewarding life. Too often
we hold ourselves back due to fear, and stay stuck in uncomfortable
ruts instead of reaching for our dreams. In this class we'll explore the
elements and consequences of risk, and learn how to deal with the anxiety
that comes with initiating change. By demystifying the process
of stepping outside our comfort zone, we gain confidence to take risks that
are necessary to our growth and happiness. The class will include
interactive discussion and guided imagery. $12 per person, $10 for
co-op members & seniors.

Hearty Vegetarian Dals (Soups) & Flatbreads From Bengal

Look no further if you want inspiration to cook warm vegetarian soups and
flat breads to cozy up these cold winter days. The menu for this fun and
informative class will feature Batura - fried soft bread; Chana - spiced
chickpea soup; Rooti - chapatti / flat bread; hearty Moosoor Dal - split-red
lentil soup - rich in vegetables; Onion-Naan - flat bread with onion
stuffing; Cholar Dal - yellow split pea soup with raisins and coconut. Wash
it all down with a unique Spiced Bengali Cha tea. $15 per person, $13 for

Boning Up On Osteoporosis

Join Karen, a local board-certified Nurse Practitioner, for a round-table
discussion of bone health. She'll review the basics of bone formation and
maintenance, risk factors for osteoporosis, bone density testing, prevention
and treatment. Learn how to protect yourself and your bones for your
lifetime. $12 per person, $10 for co-op members & seniors.

Cheap Eats!
taught by Nancy O'Connor, Nutrition Educator
You don't need a big budget to eat well. This class will focus on simple
foods that are both affordable and healthful. Using lots of ingredients from
the Merc's fabulous Bulk Department, we'll make a very tasty version of
Black Beans and Rice, Lonesome Hut Lentil Soup, Red Quinoa Salad, and
Polenta with Smoked Provolone and Pasta Sauce. Sample several instant foods
from Bulk including Curry Lentil Soup served over Israeli Cous Cous and Bean
and Cheese Quesadillas made with Instant Refried Beans. $15 per person, $13
for co-op members & seniors.

taught by Chef Paige Vandegrift
Join Paige as she prepares five delicious Italian recipes, all accessible
and easy enough to make on a weekday. Her menu includes Spinach Frittata,
Wild Mushroom & Fontina Pizza, Spaghetti alla Puttanesca (Spaghetti with
capers, olives, tomatoes & hot peppers), Winter Panzanella (Tuscan bread
salad) and Panna Cotta (creamy Italian pudding). Learn the basics, then you
can vary and adjust to the season and the ingredients you have on hand.

You don't have to hurt! Arthritis is at lest as old as the Pyramids and so
are the herbal remedies that have worked throughout the ages. Teaching from
personal experience, Ocoee will introduce you to the herbs to use for pain,
inflammation and ultimately for joint rehabilitation and renewal. Learn
which foods may make your joint discomfort worse and how to design your own
medicinal protocol. Learn which plants can restore you to pain-free

participants through an easy to repeat stretching and breathing for
