Detox & Deep Cleanse with Herbs
Saturday · February 2 · 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
taught by Ocoee Miller
This time of year most of us move about less, eat too much rich holiday
foods, stay indoors breathing stale air and the toxins begin to pile up in
all of us. This toxic condition greatly stresses our immune systems and
leads to a multiplicity of diseases. You can turn this situation around
using the right herbs. In this class we will explain which herbs clean which
inner organs, as well as the blood and lymph systems. We'll provide easy
herbal recipes you can make yourself. Ocoee will teach from her own
experience and will be able to tell you which cleanses are difficult, which
are most effective, which work quickly. What ever your concerns, she will be
able to help you design a detox program that fits your issues.

Wheatfields bread, and a chance to socialize with your neighbors. Then at
7pm join Ken Lassman, author of /Wild Douglas County/, as he helps us
explore the varied native landscapes found within the borders of Douglas
County through photos, rocks, dirt, maps, and more. This event will be a
combination of presentation, participation, and discussions that will help
peel back our normal ways of seeing the land as so much real estate to
reveal the underlying natural goings-on: migratory pathways, watersheds,
cross-timber/oak-hickory/floodplain woodlands, tallgrass prairies, and more.
Find out the best places in the county to see these places, and what you can
do to nurture your own yard's connections to the earth.
