For many years Hilary and her daughters have made Christmas Bundles to give away to friends and family during the winter holidays. Join Hilary on a cold Saturday afternoon to make these individual yeast sweet rolls wrapped around a cream cheese filling for your family and friends. Each participant will get to sample a freshly made bundle and will also take one home hot out of the oven. We'll have plenty of tea and coffee to accompany this fun, limited hands-on class.

We'll work together, hands-on, to make Yogi Tea with spices and maple syrup; Yummy Savory Nut Mix and an equally wonderful Sweet Nut Mix; and Sweet Potatoes with Spinach in Spiced Orange Sauce. Take home a sample of nuts in a special gift bag..

Savory and Chocolaty Little Bites
for the Holiday Party

Holiday fun would be so much less without savory and chocolaty tidbits. Debjani's collection of side dishes twists the traditions just enough to brighten your holiday menu. Savory (vegetarian) menu pleasers - Spicy Vegetable Empanadillas, Potato Tikia (a fritter), and Garlic Shrimp alternate with delights for the chocoholic - Chocolate Cranberry-Chutney Bites, Tuscan Chocolate Pudding, and a Hot White Chocolate Drink to indulge those chocolate cravings. These delicious finger foods (side dishes) carry big flavor in little packages.

Home for the Holidays

It's a time to gather with friends and family, sharing good food. We'll demonstrate and sample some of our family's holiday favorites - foods that are special and also nourishing! We'll start class with a mug of traditional Wassail, a warming combination of tea, fruit juices, and spices. Then on to a bowl of Black Bean and Pumpkin Stew served up with hot Sweet Potato Biscuits. We'll end class with a slice of warm Winter Fruit Strudel topped with Maple Whipped Cream, and Whole Wheat Molasses Crisps, a holiday staple in our house for 30 years!

We'll put on a pot of tea for a sweet evening of holiday baking. Join Paige as she shows you how to handle and form dough to create fabulous holiday treats*. Paige will demonstrate and you'll enjoy: Almond Crescents, Chocolate-Caramel Bars (nicknamed "danger bars" by Paige's friends), Dried fruit "Newtons," Swedish Ribbon Cookies, Chocolate Truffle Cookies, Classic Scottish Shortbread Fans, Linzer Thumbprint Cookies and Cranberry-Pistachio Biscotti. We're going over the top - please join us!
*This class is not about how to make dough but rather how to handle it.
We'll assume at least a basic knowledge of how.

Chocolate Truffles & Other Holiday Goodies

Take time out of this busy season to enjoy a cup of hot tea and two hours of culinary fun. Mari will be making her famously delicious Chocolate Truffles (we've tasted them and they are really, really good). She'll also demonstrate Himmel Fritter (Heavenly Cake), a special treat from Germany... a luscious cake you eat with friends and at family gatherings over the holidays. As if that isn't enough Mari will also make festive and tasty Cranberry and Pistachio Holiday Biscotti.
